WeldConnect Privacy Policy

Connect Project Services (ABN 33 660 076 657) operates WeldConnect. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect. Account details (name, email, phone, role, organisation); records your organisation enters that identify people, such as welder and inspector names, qualification certificates, competence records and sign-offs; photographs and documents uploaded to records; technical information such as IP address, browser type, login times and pages used; and correspondence with us.
Why we collect it. To provide and secure the Service; to identify who created or signed off a record; to send service notifications (for example a weld assignment or an expiring qualification); to respond to enquiries; and to meet legal obligations.
Who it is shared with. People in your organisation with access to the relevant records; our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf (currently Vercel, Supabase and Resend); and anyone we are required by law to disclose to. We do not sell personal information.
Overseas storage. Our database and file storage are located in Singapore. Some providers process data in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this. We take reasonable steps to ensure providers protect information to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Security and retention. Access is limited by organisation and role. Connections are encrypted. We keep information while your organisation's account is active and for 30 days after, then delete it from live systems, subject to backups overwritten in the ordinary course and any legal retention requirement.
Access and correction. You may ask us to access or correct your personal information by emailing admin@connectprojectservices.com. If you are a user of a customer organisation, your organisation's administrator can correct most records directly.
Complaints. Contact admin@connectprojectservices.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes. We will publish updates here with a new version date.
